Don Bosco heading for Champions Trophy

Don Bosco Sports Club from Negombo has taken a firm grip of the
Dialog Champions League with a total of 40 points from eighteen games
played so far.
They are followed by Sri Lanka Police with 36 points from the same
number of matches.
Police were leading the early stages of the Championship, but the
team from Negombo made a strong challenge to all leading Clubs in the
tournament and came forward to take the top spot in the early part of
the second round maintained it up to now.
Few leading Clubs from Colombo Ratnam SC Saunders SC and Renown SC
had failed to live up to expectations and are lowly placed at the
moment. The Club from Kotahena Ratnam SC at present is placed at the
fifth position while Saunders and Renown are positioned at number eight
and nine respectively.
Meanwhile New Youngs SC and Sri Lanka Army are lying in the third and
fourth positions and are looking forward to reach the semi finals.
Jupiters SC the other Club from Negombo and Kalutara Park SC the new
comers to the Champions League right at the bottom of the points table.
According to the FFSL all remaining Dialog Champions League matches have
been postponed indefinitely due to the inclement weather prevailing at
the moment.
