A-L: Maliyadeva top in Kurunegala

H M K Anuruddha Herath, a student of Kurunegala Maliyadeva College was placed first in the Kurunegala district and 10th in the all island ranking in the Mathematics stream at the GCE Advanced Level examination this year.

Anuruddha received his primary education at Rathnalankara Vidyalaya, Alawwa and passed the scholarship examination obtaining 168 marks and entered Maliyadeva College.

He is also involved in extra curricular activities having participated in Athletics, Rugger and Cadeting.

“I give priority to my academic work and also never missed the daily school work.

I also attended extra classes conducted by the school,” he added.
