Bolivia blames capitalism
Bolivian President Evo Morales said capitalism
was responsible for climate change in his speech at the Climate
Change Summit Thursday and he insisted on the need for the developed
countries to make new commitments to reduce their greenhouse effect
gas emissions.

AU lifts sanctions against Guinea

on Guinea after a coup d’etat two years ago, hailing on Thursday its
election of a new civilian President. Veteran Opposition Leader

Colombia pledges to facilitate hostage handover
