Police outplay Java Lane 2-0

The Police SC who making a strong bid regain the top spot in the Dialog Champions League added three more points to their tally when they outplayed Java Lane SC two goals to nil on Sunday at the Police Park.

Police got off to a flying start in first minute through goal scored by RPDS Pathirane and held on to it till the lemons. Java Lane SC though tried every thing in store to find the equalizer failed in all their attempts.

With Just nine minutes away from the final blow RPSN Pathirane found the nets to put the Policemen further ahead and ended the game in their favor.

In Another game played on the same day at Wennappuwa Army defeated the home team four goals to two. At half time the Soldiers were in front with score reading 1-0 in favor of the Soldiersa.

DM de Silva (2), NM Issadee and L. Kumara were the scorers for the winning team while M.Khan and SA Kola found the net for the losers Java Lane SC.
