Tilak de Zoysa elected to HelpAge International UK chair

HelpAge International has announced its new chair, Tilak de Zoysa.

De Zoysa said: "HelpAge International is a unique organization standing up for the rights of older people worldwide. I'm very excited by this new challenge to lead the HelpAge board."

By 2045, there will be more adults over 60 than children under 15. One in every four in Sri Lanka will be over 60. Senior Citizen allowances remain the highest priority, the key to unlocking older peoples ability to live independently with dignity and support their communities.

Honorary Consul for Croatia Tilak de Zoysa is the recipient of "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" " conferred by the Japan Emperor. He is the Associated Motorways Private Ltd. President and Chairman Carson Cumberbatch, Associated Capital Leasing Ltd.,
