Colours Nite 2010
Ananda College hearing 124 years of legendary accounts, being the
guiding star and the pinnacle of Buddhist education of Mother Lanka
stands, shining radiantly in the globe. Anandians surpass the others
both in academic and co-curricula activities, specially in the sports
arena.
A very distinctive evidence to prove this notion is the victories
gained at Sri Lanka Schools Colours Awarding ceremony at which Ananda
was crowned as the institution to create the highest number of
coloursmen for the three consecutive years of 2006, 2007 and 2008. The
most prestigious honour a sportsman receives in his school career is
awarding the college colours.
Colours Nite, the felicitation of young sportsmen of Ananda will be
solemnized in a spectacular manner on December 8 at 3 pm at the Ananda
College Kularathne Hall with the immense contribution of the Sports
Council and Prefects Guild of Ananda College.

Commander in Chief of Vanni, former commander of the 57 Brigade of Sri
Lanka Army, one of the recognized gallant Anandians who pioneered the
humanitarian operations to eradicate terrorism will grace the occasion.
Around 105 young coloursmen will be crowned being honoured and
awarded colours for their excellent performances and sportsmen who
outshone their talents in the international sports arena will be
rewarded the trophies triumphed by them.
Colonel G W Rajapakse trophy for the ‘Most Outstanding Sports Star’
of the year 2010 will be awarded by the chief guest. |
