Govt moves NCM against Karu Jayasuriya

UPFA General Secretary and Minister Susil Premajayantha stated that the Government has moved a No Confidence Motion (NCM) in Parliament against UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya.

Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayantha made this observation addressing media at a press conference at the Parliamentary Complex.

This briefing was held in connection with a statement made by Karu Jayasuriya to a weekend English language newspaper expressing the need to investigate into war crimes in Sri Lanka.

He also stated that the No Confidence Motion will be moved during the next few days and the motion is being drafted. SLFP General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena, Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, Environment Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Construction Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa also participated.
