Elements advocating global terrorism - Premier

No democratic country in the world could ignore and keep quiet regarding the protest levelled at Sri Lanka President and Sri Lankans in London said Prime Minister DM Jayaratne.

He said it is a privilege to the Oxford University that an able leader of the calibre of Mahinda Rajapaksa accepting the invitation extended by the Oxford student council to address them.

The Premier said this types of unruly behavior convince us that there are some elements advocating terrorism at international levels, he said our vision and aspirations can neither be hindered nor defeated by such unethical deeds, instead we as a nation became more fortified that no other force can defeat us.

The Prime Minister stressed that it is the bounden duty and responsibility of all Sri Lankans to protect the President the only leader who could uproot terrorism and dawn peace to the country that all nations can live together peacefully.
