Statues unveiled

Two statues of leading educationist and social workers in Point Pedro, Thanga Thatha Kantha Muruganar and Sathe Avathany Kathiravetpillai have been installed at Puloly junction at the initiative of the 52 Division Brigadier Sudananda Sinha.

The renovation of the statues was carried out on the direction of Jaffna Commander Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe. Ramakrishna Ashram Point Pedro Chief Incumbent Swamy Chidrupananda lighted the traditional oil lamp and inaugurated the opening ceremony. Brigadier Sudananda Sinha unveiled the statues.
