Emerging countries lead economic indexes

Bhaskar Chatterjee

Asian countries such as India, Korea, and China are about to take the leadership in the world’s economic order surpassing many resurgent and super powers in the world. The emerging countries such as China, India, South Korea and Brazil are leading many economic indexes exceeding the industrialized countries such as England, France and Germany.

“Some countries such as Ireland, Spain, Greece, and Portugal are collapsing due to their inability to face the economic challenges in the world,” the Indian Government Public Enterprises Department Secretary Bhaskar Chatterjee said.

Addressing the “Global Knowledge Share Symposium” in Colombo yesterday, he said developing countries need to centralize, united like never before by unfettering their hidden potential and synergies to be super powers in the world.

The sun is rising from the East now and these countries need to take themselves forward by exchanging global knowledge among them for the betterment of developing nations, he said.

He said that Sri Lanka is emerging from ashes after a long drawn war and the country is depicting its capability by achieving around five percent growth in Gross Domestic Product. The country can achieve an enormous triumph in each growth arena in the country, he said.
