The outsourced employees working in the SCEB numbering 2,600 have
organized a protest and a fast simultaneously. The Government had

said Thilakarathne.
In response to the protest and fast staged on November 23, 2010, the
government agreed to give employment to 10 percent of these outsourced
workers. The balance employees were to be absorbed to fill the
vacancies. But they were not in agreement with the government’s
decision, he added.
