BIA launches shopping festival

For the first time in the history of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), all sellers who operate in the departure terminal together with Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited (AASL) have collaborated to offer shoppers a grand Christmas shopping festival.

Accordingly, the Bandaranaike International Airport Shopping Festival has been organized to inspire more tourists to do shopping at the shops in the airport premises.

The Shopping Festival was launched on November 15, and will conclude on January 15, 2011.

The main objective of the shopping festival is to promote the airport as the preferred destination among tourists while generating more foreign income to the country.

Each customer who purchases items at the shops in the airport will be entitled to the draw.

The transactional price of the draw is deemed to be US $ 10 giving a chance for every tourist to be a part of the draw.

The winners of the draw will be entitled to win gifts.
