North Central Provincial Cooperatives, Textiles, Trade and Food, Rural Development and Housing Minister H B Semasinghe took his oaths as North Central Province Acting Chief Minister before North Central Province Governor Karunaratna Divulgane yesterday (22).

He will act for Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayaka, until he returns from abroad.

Death of Lake House agent

Lionel Gunasekera of 29/11, School Lane, Mahindarama Road, Ethul-Kotte (Proprietor of Express Delivery Agent) who rendered 46 years long laudable service to the Company as our direct delivery agent for Bauddhaloka Mawatha and Thimbirigasyaya areas expired.

Funeral will be held at the General Cemetery, Borella at 4 pm on November 24.
