Arms haul found

The Nuwara Eliya Police Special Intelligence Bureau detected a haul of arms buried in a residential area in Eravur last Saturday (20). The haul included eight claymore mines, 29 kilos of C4 explosives, three T-56 guns, one 40 mm grenade launcher, 2,910 live ammunition, two M16 magazines, two wire rolls, two pressure bomb fuses.

A police team lead by OIC Special Intelligence Bureau Inspector W S Fonseka and SI Vajira made the detection.
