Sri Lanka-China sign another agreement

The Governments of China and Sri Lanka yesterday signed another agreement to promote economic and technical co-operation, a release issued by the President's Media Division said yesterday.

Finance Ministry Secretary Dr P B Jayasundara and Chinese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Yang Xiuping signed the agreement on behalf of the two countries in the presence of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Chinese President's Special Envoy and President of Standing Committee of National Congress of China Sang Guowei. Guowei who arrived in the country yesterday as the special envoy of Chinese President Hu Jintao to participate at the inauguration of President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second term of Office met President and had cordial discussions on issues of mutual interest.
