Lyceum Nugegoda hold 7 scrabble C'ships

The 7th annual inter-school under 15 scrabble championships hosted by Lyceum International Nugegoda was held recently in their premises.

Ninety players from 15 schools participated in this four game competition.

Last year's champs Musaeus College Colombo thwarted strong opposition from Lyceum Wattala, three time winners S Thomas' College Mt Lavinea to emerge champs again.

LIS (W) were placed two followed by the Thomians three, D S Senanayake Colombo 4, Maliyadeva Girls Kurunegala 5 and Lyceum (N) 6.

Shanon Constantine of LIS (N) was the Most Outstanding player winning all four games with Sasika Jayasuriya second.

Sam Chandrasena, Director Sports (LIS.N) was the Adjudicator whilst K Kulatunga Treasurer S C S A, and reputed scrabbler was the Officiating Judge Kumari Grero, Co-ordinating Principal Lyceum International distributed the awards.
