Nominations handed over

Seventy candidates representing 16 Divisional Secretariat areas in Matara district contesting the forthcoming Youth Parliamentary elections have already been handed over their nomination papers, District Youth Services Officer Matara D Pushpalatha said.

A total of 21 candidates from Weligama, Mulatiyana and Dikwella Divisional Secretary areas and 15 candidates represent Malimbada, Kamburupitiya and Kotapola divisions while 18 candidates from Akuressa, Athuraliya Devinuwara, Matara, Pitabeddara and Welipitiya Divisional Secretariat areas handed over the nomination papers for the election.

Propaganda Campaigns will be on from November 11 to 25 midnight.
