Iran to help IDPs

The Islamic Republic of Iran has extended assistance for the resettlement process in the Northern Province.

Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation President Hossein Anvari and a five-member Iranian delegation visiting Sri Lanka yesterday called on Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiyutheen for talks on the situation of IDPs. The Minister has explained about the resettlement progress and the delegation expressed their satisfaction over it.

The delegation promised continued help to Sri Lankan IDPs.

The Iranian delegation will be visited IDP centres in Jaffna and Mannar today.
