Indian training for Sri Lankan Judges

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between Sri Lanka and India to train Sri Lankan Judges in India.


Justice Minister Athauda Seneviratne with Indian High Commissioner Ashok K Kantha

This decision was arrived at when Indian High Commissioner Ashok K Kantha met Justice Minister Athauda Seneviratne at the Ministry.

Minister Seneviratne said the training will be arranged in training centers at Bangalore and Gopal.

The Minister said that while the Justice Ministry will accelerate the process of signing the MoU, the High Commissioner has agreed to provide facilities for the proposed Judges training centre and to assist in developing infrastructure facilities for the judicial system in Sri Lanka.
