stars and famous athletes than they do their own family members. The
life of a celebrity is placed upon a pedestal; there is always going to

details of Mel Gibson's separation from Oksana Grigorieva in April of

Maybe divorce is one of those 'real' moments, reflecting 'real' pain.
The experience is relatable for average individuals; it allows everyday
people to connect to the celebrity fantasy world.
It reminds society that celebrities are real people, too. Or maybe it
is about one person finding pleasure in someone else's misery - just
another day in the cruel world we are living in.
Whatever the reason, the fascination will continue to exist, as long
as celebrity couples continue to say "I do."
