The Nidahasa - Suba Sangskruthiyaka Peradekma is to be held on
November 17 to mark the inauguration of President Mahinda Rajapaksa for
the second term in office.

The photographic exhibition stall "Historical Memoirs" will feature
livelihood from the ancient times to modern life style with elaborated
details of development activities of the past and the present. Chef Dr
Publish Silva along with other leading chefs of five star hotels will be
preparing the largest Kiribath which will set a world record. A separate
lane with a distance of about one km will be named as "Our Food
Heritage", as part of a program to popularize the Government's
initiative to increase the nation through enhanced production. This
special area will feature food from the different cultures of Sri Lanka.
The Moratuwa University (B. Des. - Bachelor of Design Degree)
students will maintain a special fashion design display zone,Which will
give a good idea as to how the fashion industry and technology used in
fashion will look like in the future. School children will have a big
role in it too. A special "Performance Arts" zone and a school band
competition will take place to highlight the inborn talents of students
and to maintain a competition among schools.
"Indigenous Medicine" will be another special feature in the
exhibition.
This will be a good opportunity to gain a knowledge about the process
of treatment, prevention and cure of disease under the ancient Ayurvedic
system.
