Junior spikers leave for Asian Championship

Sri Lanka Junior men's Volleyball team left the island yesterday to participate at the 15th Asian Junior Volleyball Championship to be held in Thailand. The championship begins today and concludes on October 10.

The Sri Lanka team is led by Dinu Silva from Senanayake MMV, Madampe. The championship has attracted 17 teams and Sri Lanka is placed along with Iran, Japan and Indonesia in Group'B'. Vice President of SLVBF Upali Hewage accompany the team as manager.

Sri Lanka Team is as follows:

Dinu De Silva (Captain) (Senanayake Central College Madampe), Deepthi Romesh (Bandaranaike Central College Mirigama), Hasitha Dilan (Karanadeniya Central College), Pramesh Prasanna (Sri Lanka Air Force), Kasun Dilan (Vijitha Central College Dickwella), HK Ekanayake (Senanayake Central College Madampe), Madushan Wickramasinghe, Chinthamani Mohotti (Davisarama MV Seeduwa), Dayal Hewawitharana (Bandaranaike Central College Veyangoda), Naveen Nawaf (Senanayake Central College Madampe), WA Lakmal (Wijayaba Vidyalaya Hungama), Wasantha Lakmal (National Youth Services Council).
