Zinufa and Radhika exhibit paintings
Radhika Dias Bandaranaike has been a student at Cora Abraham’s
Melbourne Art Classes and learnt porcelain painting from Rohini
Aluvihare. She is following classes in water colour painting with Kumari
de Alwis. Her paintings depict mostly of landscapes of the places she
has visited in Sri Lanka and abroad. Zinufa Razik has been a student of
Cora Abrahams Melbourne Art Classes, Mudliyar A C G S Amerasekera and
Dora Tomulic of Croatia and Rohini Aluvihare.
She paints mostly with oils and mixed media.
In 2004, Zinufa exhibited with the Studio d’Art group of 8 at the
Lionel Wendt, Harold Peiris Gallery. In 2006, she had a very successful
solo exhibition Nubian Dreams at the Harold Pieris Gallery. Zinufa also
taught at Noeline Fernando’s art classes at the Sapumal Foundation. She
teaches art at the DVS, Ladies College, Colombo 7.
Zinufa’s paintings are very colourful with a wide range of subjects,
abstracts and pencil drawings.
Both Zinufa and Radhika had exhibited paintings on porcelain along
with Rohini Aluvihare in the early ‘90s at Lionel Wendt.
The exhibition will be held at the Lionel Wendt, Harold Peiris
Gallery, from October 1 to 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. |
