Chinese business delegation visits National Chamber
An 11-member Chinese business delegation headed by China Council for
the Promotion of International Trade Jiangsu Sub Council Vice Chairman
Qiu Xiaoping visited the National Chamber of Commerce last week. The
delegation had one to one business meetings with the members of the
National Chamber of Commerce involved in business with the People's
Republic of China.

The delegates from both sides expressed interest in promoting
business in the areas of food and beverages, tea, textile, solar power
generators, electricity powered bicycles, tricycles, trains, cell, and
coal mind related machinery, textile machinery and textile products. The
Chinese delegation was also interested in promoting services and
functions of JGSPC. They said they could help Sri Lankan counterparts to
find best partners and projects and build an investment and trade
channel between Sri Lanka and China. Chinese delegates are interested in
investing in Sri Lanka as well.
CCPIT, Jiangsu Sub Council is consisting of representatives from
entrepreneurs, associations and entities. Their main task is to promote
outward corporations, increase exports and develop friendship between
Jiangsu and the world. They would corporate with the National Chamber to
promote mutual trades, investment, hold high profile exhibitions, trade
negotiations and business visits.
The National Chamber has sent more than 50 entrepreneurs to Jiangsu
Province for technical training in the recent past. |
