There has been an improving demand for Over The Counter (OTC)
products in the pharmaceuticals industry. It is expected that OTC
products will grow into a sizeable business in the near future.
Hemas Pharmaceuticals has improved their sales and will be
introducing a range of OTC products in the future, Hemas Pharmaceuticals
(Pvt) Ltd., Managing Director, Sanjeewa Samaranayake told Daily News
Business. Hemas Pharmaceuticals has launched reflex, a drug for
osteoarthritis as their latest product in the OTC product segment. The
product reflex is a novel drug which comes from Fullife Healthcare (Pvt)
Ltd., a research-based company in India that is committed to providing
innovative healthcare solutions to meet the many unmet needs of people
around the world. "It is a unique dietary supplement that has been
clinically proven to help provide relief from osteoarthritis symptoms
and pain within three weeks," Samaranayake said.
It is a nutriceutical which can be purchased over the counter without
a doctor's prescription.
The fruit or hip of Rosa canina (Rosehip), a type of wild rose, is
the key ingredient in reflex that is a totally a natural product.
Rosehip, the key ingredient in reflex, is sourced from Europe and
unlike other medications it is proven to have no side effects owing to
the fact that it is a 100 percent natural product which also qualifies
it as vegetarian product.
Rosehip extract derived from Rosa canina has an anti-inflammatory and
antioxidative ingredient cocktail provided by nature.
This results in large quantities of naturally occurring vitamin C,
vitamin E and bioflavonoids that are known to help reduce oxidative
stress and support the maintenance of tissue integrity and health.
