Lake House triumph one - nil

The Lake House soccerites playing in their opening game against Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) completely outplayed them to register a 1 goal to nil victory in a Mercantile ‘B’ Division match played on Monday.

The only goal for the victorious team came in the 42nd minute when a good pass sent by Sarath Alwis to M. V. Surenda who picked it well to send in saucer like kick to baffle the goal keeper of the HSBC and to get the one and only goal of the match.

In the same group Commercial Bank received a walk over from Dockyard Ltd. As the latter team failed to arrive for the match.
