Environment polluters face the music

Fifty five persons had been fined Rs 110,000 by the Environment Protection Unit of Kandy last month. A spokesman for the unit said they had been found disposing garbage haphazardly polluting the environment.

The offenders were produced before Kandy Magistrate Lalith Ekanayake who fined them.
