Moratuwa popular choice

The latest statistics indicate that 98 percent out of the top ten percent of students who pass the GCE Advanced Level examination in the mathematics stream apply for admission to Moratuwa University’s Engineering Faculty.

Moratuwa University Vice Chancellor Professor Malik Ranasinghe told the inauguration of EXMO 2010 organized by the university that the university has produced thousands of engineers over the past 38 years of its history.

Some of them occupy top positions locally and internationally, he said.

As the leading engineering faculty in the country with an admission of around 800 students of Bachelors degrees every year, the university organizes EXMO every year which showcases research projects, design software and engineering models developed by students aimed at identifying and solving engineering problems.
