Angola remembers Cuban contributions to independence
Angola: Friendship between Cuba and Angola is enduring because it is
cemented with the blood of people from both countries in the struggle
for national liberation, saaid an Angolan leader.
The Angolan League of Friendship and Solidarity President with the
Peoples (LAASP), Domingo Coelho Da Cruz, expressed appreciation for the
support of the Cuban Revolution and its leader Fidel Castro to the
Angolan people in their struggle against colonialists and imperialists.
He recalled the heroism of Cuban and Angolan internationalists in the
decisive battle of Quifangondo, in which together, they defeated the
racist South African army and its allies.
During a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the LAASP, Cuban
Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) President Kenia Serrano
Puig, thanked the affection and solidarity of the agency and groups of
friendship towards the Caribbean island.
The Cuban delegation is in Luanda to attend the Third African Meeting
of Solidarity with Cuba, which will have Talatona Hotel.
