China, US boost trade links
Chinese President Hu Jintao Wednesday called for
China and the United States to view their bilateral relationship
from a global and strategic perspective. Furthering the positive,
cooperative and comprehensive China-US relationship is more
important than ever before, as the world is still facing an
uncertain economic recovery and various prominent challenges, Hu
said during a meeting with two senior US officials.

Ground Zero tower ready by 2013
The centrepiece tower in the vast reconstruction
project at the World Trade Centre in New York will be completed in
2013, officials said Tuesday in an upbeat assessment of the site’s
