"Newly developing countries such as Sri Lanka are compelled to
utilize new and advanced technology to improve the productivity of their
ventures. As poor countries such as Sri Lanka cannot afford to acquire
these technologies, they tend to stick onto old low productive methods
using manual techniques in their industries and production. Therefore
the developed nations must take immediate steps to share technological
know how in a bid save the developing countries from the vicious cycle
of poverty."
