Carlton Suwa Udana takes up Dengue control

An islandwide Dengue eradication campaign under the "Carlton Suwa Udana" healthcare program, a concept of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa aimed at enhancing the standards of health, nourishment and life skills of people was started in Colombo yesterday.

This campaign including cleaning of schools premises, nearby lands and houses started at Carlton pre-school under the patronage of the First Lady. The campaign covered Modera Ananda Vidyalaya, Bambalapitiya Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Isipathana College, Borella Sangamitta and Seevalie College.

Apart from the cleaning process the program included public awareness and follow up action programs to be held five days in the Western Province.

Education, Health, Defence Ministry Officials and Prison Officers attended the campaign.
