IT penetration increases - IBM official

IT penetration in South Asia, including Sri Lanka has increased at a healthy rate, although a limited competition can be seen in the software and IT industry in the world IBM, General Business Software Group Assistant Director Praveen Kumar said.

Corporate sector and individuals are looking at easy options to achieve their ambitions. In keeping with global integration, there is a significant growth in business needs and corporates are finding ways to get-together with each other internally and externally, he said. He said customers' pain points have to be fixed while generating revenue to their business. Internationally designed smarter system would only address the growing demands of customers' needs while curtailing the consistent set of workload changes. Smarter software solution from IBM is relevant for the Sri Lankan market," Kumar said.
