Cey Bank Unit Trust appoints new Chairman


K. L. H. Hewage

A top professional and senior public officer, K.L. Hewage, a member of the Bank of Ceylon Board of Management assumed the duties of Cey Bank Asset Management Ltd. Chairman recently.

He is also a Visual and Performing Arts University Governing Council Member.

Over Rs 6 billion and 51 percent of the unit trust industry assets are controlled by the Cey Bank Asset Management Company, which is the country's biggest and an associate of the Bank of Ceylon with 44 percent stake, Sri Lanka insurance with 26 percent, Unit Trust India and Carsons with 30 percent.

Hewage studied at St. John's Panadura and holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Bio Science from the Kelaniya University and a Master of Science (M.Sc) post graduate degree in Agricultural Extension from the England Reading University.
