Common service centres in Jaffna

Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Ministry has recently opened two common service centres in Vathiri Village, Jaffna and Alari, Chavakachcheri, Jaffna to upgrade the small and traditional industries in the Jaffna peninsula.

Speaking to Daily News Business, Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Ministry Secretary, P Sivagnanasothy said the common service centre consists of all the general tools and equipments with modern technology, which will help the small industrialists to enhance the quality and productivity of their products. The total investment of the two projects was Rs 21 million, which was funded by the Government. He said after setting up the common service centre it is the community's responsibility to maintain the building and the equipment provided. CdeS
