SLBA partners Asia Microfinance Forum

Sri Lanka Banks’ Association (Guarantee) Ltd (SLBA), the premier Institution for commercial banks as well as specialized banks in Sri Lanka has teamed up with the Banking With The Poor Network (BWTP) as a Supporting Partner for AMF 2010.

Sri Lanka Banks’ Association (Guarantee) Ltd (SLBA) with the membership of all the commercial banks and specialized banks, which operate in Sri Lanka has taken this important step of partnering the Asia Microfinance Forum.

In the last decade many commercial banks have looked at Microfinance as an important business initiative and have downscaled to create access to financial services to Micro Entrepreneurs. By being a Supporting Partner of the conference, Sri Lanka Banks’ Association will inspire its memberships’ greater involvement in the Microfinance industry in Sri Lanka.

AMF 2010 will be held from October 12-15, and will bring in from Asia as well as from other parts of the world over 550 delegates, among them who would be leading practitioners, investors, policy makers and other capacity builders.

The conference will showcase the future direction of the microfinance industry in Asia.
