Horror and delight

A small village with absolute scenic beauty. A tiny island surrounded by a lake from which a stream flows through the village.

Scenes from Ape Yalu Punchi Boothaya

A deserted ancestral house in the island which is supposed to be a haunting ground of a ghost.

This is the backdrop that Lal Priyadewa paints in his latest film Ape Yalu Punchi Boothaya.

The villagers are in internal fear of being haunted by the ghost. An elderly and a cruel man called Dingi Gurunnanse who is possessed with evil powers lives in the old mansion.

He had managed to take the ghost under his spell to get the hidden treasure in the house but unexpected situations fall across his path. The movie directed by N Udayakumar on behalf of Balaji Cine films is screening at MPI circuit cinemas: Wellington – Kantale, Ratnawali – Ja Ela, Nanda – Nikaweratiya, Ruhunu – Tangalle and Dinusha – Nawalapitiya.
