Asha Phillip goes to Vavuniya

Asha Phillip Securities Limited, a retail stock broker ventures into Vavuniya today. This will be the 13th branch of Asha Phillip Securities Limited opening in the island creating a huge base of investors in Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).

“We took this step to promote an avenue of investment rather than saving money in commercial banks. We need to encourage investors from rural areas in the Northern province,” Asha Phillip Securities Director/CEO Dimuthu Abeyesekara told the Daily News Business.

The branch opened today is the second in the Northern area followed by the Jaffna branch.
