Sports promoter Nadaraja dies

M Nadaraja, former prominent sports promoter of Kandy passed away after a brief illness.

He was the Secretary of the Kandy District Football Association for the last Twenty years and the treasurer of the Kandy District Hockey Association for the last fifteen years.

In addition he was an active member of the Kandy District Sports Development Foundation. Funeral will be held on August 9 (Monday) at the Mahaiyawa Cemetery.
