Oman Air's Country Manager for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Gihan Karunaratne said, "This is the second year we are supporting the Golf Open at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort and we are optimistic that this year's tournament will be yet another success.

We are quite keen to promote Sri Lanka as a golfing holiday destination, and this is just one step in that direction."

Last year's Golf Championship, sponsored by Oman Air had a large number of foreign and local golfers participating.

Founded in 1993, Oman Air's first flight was from Muscat to Salalah and the airline has since expanded to offer direct flights to key Gulf, European, African and Asian destinations.
