Sixteen teams for WP Rugby Sevens

Western Province Rugby Football Union will conduct inaugural
Development Rugby Sevens tournament on August 8 (Sunday) 2010 at
Havelock Sports Club.
Sixteen teams will be participating at the tournament, which includes
Development teams from the Western Province.
The main aim of the WPRFU is to organize these kind of sevens
competition once in three months and give an opportunity to up and
coming players to play for Development teams who would be encouraged to
participate in these tournaments along with the leading clubs.
Since Rugby Football is now an Olympic sport IRB and Asian Rugby
Union too has decided to give more emphasis to Sevens Rugby by
organizing Asian Satellite Sevens in Developing Unions.
The tournament is sponsored by TKS Finance Ltd which has promised to
join hands with WPRFU to conduct three sevens tournament every year.
