Gem Centre at Ratnapura

Environment Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa will ceremonially open the new Service Centre of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority at Ratnapura on August 10.

Ministers W D J Seneviratne and Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Deputy Minister Faizer Musthapha, Ratnapura District parliamentarians, Ministers and Members of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council and Pradeshiya Sabha members and Heads of Government institutions of Sabaragamuwa will participate.

National Gem and Jewellery Authority Chairman and CEO Anil Koswatte said that the new modernized service centre will be the first step in providing an efficient and quick service to meet all requirements of the Gem and Jewellery Sector islandwide in accordance with Mahinda Chintana program which has a new vision for development of the industry.
