Kandy Police record 16,033 traffic violations

Kandy Police Headquarters had arrested 16,033 traffic offenders during the last seven months. This is an increase of 3,594 when compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, SSP Ranjith Kasturiratne said.

Among the offenders 295 were driving under the influence of liquor and 313 for high speed 1,679 had been detected for crossing roads without using pedestrian crossings.
