SLRBC holds business forum
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka - Russia Business Council (SLRBC)
organized a Sri Lanka - Russia Business Forum followed by one-to-one
business meetings at the Hotel Taj Samudra recently to coincide with the
visit of an eight member trade and investment delegation from the
Russian Federation to attend the 24th CACCI Conference and the Sri Lanka
Economic Summit 2010.

Addressing the Forum, Sri Lanka - Russia Business Council President
Nimal Cooke said, "You have visited us at a very auspicious time. The
country is fully focused on the economic development, as now the war is
over and new avenues of trade and investments are opening up."
The Russian Federation Embassy, Deputy Mission Head, Sergienko N.
Evgeny was the chief guest of the event. Russian Federation Chamber of
Commerce and Industries, International Co-operation Department Director
and Delegation Leader Sergey Vasiliev said that the main objective of
the mission is to strengthen the trade ties, source suitable partners
for trade, investment, joint venture and services and to assist in
expanding the existing business contacts of the participants.
He said the delegates received an opportunity to learn areas of
potential investment opportunities available.The areas of business
interests of the delegated included travel and tourism, civil aviation,
tractors and heavy crawler machinery and vessel control systems. |
