White flag issue: Trial-at-bar on July 29

Chief Justice Asoka de Silva has appointed three judges, Deepali Wijesundera (President), P.B. Warawewa and Zulficar Razeem to hear the case concerning white flag issue on which General Sarath Fonseka has been indicted. The case will be taken up for hearing before the Colombo High Court at a Trail-At-Bar comprising the three judges on July 29.

The Attorney General has indicted General Fonseka in connection with an interview given to the Sunday Leader newspaper on December 8, 2009. He has been indicted for three charges including incitement of communal disharmony.
