Media Development Authority:

Govt calls suggestions

The Government calls for suggestions and comments from media organizations, professional bodies, interest groups and individuals for the proposed Media Development Authority.

The Media Development Authority aims at ensuring due recognition for the print and electronic media. Further, it will incorporate measures to improve professionalism while ensuring that journalism is recognised as a profession with its own quality standards and norms.

Since the MDA Bill is in the initial stages of drafting, Director General of Government Information, Prof Ariyaratna Athugala, requests proposals and suggestions in the following format, a press release of the Government Information Department said.
