Emerging approaches in Management Accounting:
ICASL seminar

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka has organized a
seminar on emerging approaches in management accounting - "Relevant lost
and relevant gain: Emergence, development and revitalization of
management accounting" - scheduled for August 3 at Galadari Hotel,
Colombo. The full day seminar will be conducted by Dr D Wickramasighe of
Manchester University, which will enlighten the participants on new
state-of-the-art of management accounting landscape.
The Institute intends to enlighten the participants, on developments
of management accounting which is one of the key areas of financial
management.
The seminar will travel through areas pertaining to relevant loss
thesis, responses with ABC, BSC and beyond budgeting initiatives; and
processes of hybridization with reference to traditional and emerging
approaches.
The facilitator Dr Wickramasighe will draw on his prolonged
association with the Manchester University which spans for over 20 years
which has enabled him to set a profound agenda of management accounting
practices in globally integrated large firms like Airbus.
