Division I soccer kicks off to a fine start

Negombo Youth Sports opened their Unique Premier League Division I campaign on winning a note when they trounced Moragasmulla United SC five goals to one (5-1) in the opening game at Negombo on Sunday. This was stage 1 match. In another game in the same group Pelicans SC from Kegalle overcame Maligawatte Youth SC at Sirisena ground in Colombo 2 goals to nil.

On Saturday Old Bens SC in thrilling game scored a 3 goals to two win over Comrades SC at St. Benedict's College ground, meanwhile in a second game on the same day played at Zahira College ground Kandy York SC too had close victory against Green Field SC 4-3.
