After completing their popular reality program trio Singing Stars,
Comedy Stars and Shadow Stars, Swarnavahini launched yet another crowd
puller by introducing Mega Stars. The program not only features artistes
but also includes top personalities from all sectors.
Not the channel had embarked on yet another project by introducing
another reality show to their fans. Dance Stars Dance sees artistes from
the silver and mini screen moving their bodies to music from diverse
genres.
The program was unveiled to the media at a special function on July
16. 24 artistes will compete for the crown. The program will begin
telecasting from November 27, Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm.

"Many new features will be in store for the viewers. The winners will
be chosen via SMS. Each week one artiste with the lowest number of SMS
votes will be eliminated. We hope to give away the biggest cash prize
ever give to a local reality program for Dance Stars Dance. It will be
something worth watching," promised Director of Programs Buddhika
Kulasekara.
The team also hopes to donate cash prizes for participation as well
as the 12 finalists. Seasoned choreographer Channa Wijewardena, actress
Sabeetha Perera and Upul Shantha Sannasgala make up the jury. |
