Provide all facilities to pilgrims, says President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday presiding at a meeting at President’s House in Anuradhapura instructed officials to ensure that water, sanitation and electricity facilities are provided to the devotees while also strengthening security in the area.

President Rajapaksa paid courtesy calls on Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayake thera and Ruwanmeli Chetiyamaha Viharadhipathi Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayake thera.

The Nayaka Theras praised the President for taking action to clean Anuradhapura and accelerating the sacred city development program which had been dragging on for years.
